Mr Crispin Henderson - Chairman

Mr Crispin Henderson joined the Avalon Minerals Board in March 2013 as an independent, non-executive director and Chairman.

Mr Henderson has more than 45 years of experience in the financial services and fund management sectors, principally with PricewaterhouseCoopers and Threadneedle Investments (since 2002). Mr Henderson is based in London and is currently the Vice Chairman of Ameriprise Financial’s Global Asset Management business. Threadneedle is an investment management company, fully owned by its parent company Ameriprise Financial, a leading, US diversified, financial services company and one of the 30 largest asset management firms globally, with a market capitalisation of over US$14bn and US$650bn in assets under management and administration. Threadneedle is a leading international asset manager, actively managing around US$127bn in equities, fixed income, property and commodities, with 700 staff in 16 countries.

With an extensive background and experience in global asset and fund management, Mr Henderson’s credentials will add considerable depth to the diversity of skills on the Company’s Board and also contribute to the highest standards of governance.

Mr Dato Siew Mun Chuang (Phillip) – Deputy Chairman

Dato Siew Mun Chuang (Phillip) is the Executive Chairman of Beau Heritage Sdn Bhd, a market leader in the food and beverage industry; a Director of Ipmuda Bhd, a leading steel products manufacturer; Perwaja Holdings Bhd a leading steel producer; and Kinsteel Bhd a leading steel products manufacturer, all based in Malaysia and listed on the Malaysian Stock Exchange. Dato Siew had several years of audit experience with PriceWaterhouse early in his career, before venturing into business. He was the former Managing Director and controlling shareholder of TT Resources Bhd, formerly listed on the Malaysian Stock Exchange.

Mr Jeremy Read- Managing Director

Jeremy Read has 25+ years domestic and international minerals exploration and project development experience having worked in a wide variety of technical and management roles and on projects throughout Australia, Africa and India with extensive exploration experience for copper, nickel and lead-zinc sulphides. He was the founding Managing Director of two successful ASX listed companies, Discovery Metals and Meridian Minerals.

Mr Read was Managing Director of Discovery Metals from its incorporation in May 2003, until his appointment as a Non-Executive Director in February 2008. He secured the Boseto Copper Project for Discovery Metals and was responsible for all fund raising activities and the listing of Discovery Metals on the Australian Securities Exchange, Botswana Stock Exchange and the Alternative Investment Market in London.

Mr Read was also the founding Managing Director of Meridian Minerals Limited and was responsible for obtaining the Lennard Shelf Lead-Zinc Project and negotiating the takeover of Meridian by Northwest, China's fourth largest mining company, in December 2011.

Mr Read remains as Non-Executive Director of Discovery Metals Limited and is a Non-Executive Director at Harmattan Gold Limited (non listed).

Mr Paul Niardone – Non Executive Director

Mr Paul Niardone is currently the CEO of Ausnet Group of Companies and the former owner and Executive Director of Professional Public Relations (WA) and the founding Chairman of Bellevue Resources Limited. Mr Niardone has experience in marketing and strategic planning in both the Government and private sectors. He is a member of the Australian Marketing Institute, the Institute of Management Consultants and the Institute of Company Directors.

Mr Siew Mun Wai (Edward) – Non Executive Director

Mr Siew Mun Wai (Edward) is currently the Group Advisor to the Maju Group of companies and also the Managing Director of Maju Renewable Energy Sdn Bhd. Mr Siew is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and also a Chartered member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants. He had held C-level and board positions in FMCG Beauty & Cosmetics, Pharmaceuticals and Specialty Chemicals multinationals with over 3 decades of overseas working experience spanning 10 countries. Mr Siew is a former Board member and CFO/COO of L'Oreal Australia and New Zealand.

Mr Seng Han Goh (Gary) – Non Executive Director

Mr Seng Han (Gary) Goh is a seasoned mining engineer with over 18 years of mining experience and is currently working as Mining Technical Services Manager for Norton Goldfields. Mr Goh has worked in management roles for Rio Tinto, BHP Billiton, Barrick Gold and Western Metals. He is a member of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and he holds a First Class Mine Managers (WA) certificate.
